Chaplain and retired Brigadier General Dr. James Hutchens has a
stunning history that very few people know about. In the mid 1970's
Hutchens, his wife and children deceptively converted to Judaism
through the Chicago Rabbinate with the intentions of making aliyah
and establishing a congregation to teach Jews that it is possible
to believe in Jesus and to remain Jewish. The plot was discovered
and their case was taken to the Israeli Supreme Court. Hutchens and
his family were kicked out of Israel and their conversions were
revoked.
Hutchens and his wife wrote a book about this episode in their
lives entitled
"GUILTY!”
The book is damning, but it enjoys a full endorsement from
non-other than Yechiel Eckstein of the International Fellowship
of Christians and Jews (IFCJ).
Also Page 238 of Yaacov Ariel's book
“Evangelizing the Chosen People” mentions Hutchen’s
deception and conversion.
Hutchens is President of the Jerusalem Connection
International. He graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary
with a Doctor of Missionary (Multi/Cross-Cultural Studies). His
dissertation was entitled, "A Case for Messianic Judaism." Jim sits
on the board of the Cyrus Fund which is a project of the
Jerusalem Connection. Although the Cyrus Fund websites don't admit
it, missionaries affiliated with the Cyrus Fund are teaching the
Gospel to Bnai Anusim via messianic churches - and getting those
"converts" ready for aliyah. Also six out of the seven board
members of the Cyrus Foundation are either active evangelical
missionaries or messianic Jews. And yes, Hutchen's served as
regional director For Pastor John Hagee's CUFI, but left
over a theological difference of opinion with Hagee.
