The 2015 summer edition of B'nai Brith Magazine has an article about Christian Zionists in Israel. Its author, Hillel Kuttler, takes an up close and personal look at Christian friends living in Israel, but also reports on the disturbing trend of increased missionary activity.
JewishIsrael is cited in the article as is Alan Schneider, director of the B’nai B’rith World Center in Jerusalem. Schneider, who once advocated for B’nai Brith to embrace Christian support, now says he has noticed that those proselytizing have become increasingly overt, even brazen. “I’ve been shocked to find that some people who are true friends of Israel are missionaries—openly". Schneider goes on to say, “You can’t be a friend of Israel if you’re here to missionize Jews—the remnant of Jews after the Holocaust. I’m not going to make common cause with anyone even remotely related to missionary activity.”
JewishIsrael commends Mr. Schneider for his serious and honest assessment of a growing problem. We hope other Jewish leaders will follow his example.

Comment
It's a very difficult test for Jews to see a toxic agenda behind the kindness, support and generosity. Despite 2000 years of history , an understanding of the drive and zeal to proselytize/evangelize is simply off of our radar screen.
