is pleased to announce that Rabbi Dr. Jeffrey Woolf has joined the Jewish Israel board
as an academic and religious advisor.
Dr. Woolf is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Talmud at Bar Ilan University, where he specializes in Jewish Intellectual History and the History of Jewish Law. Dr. Woolf has a PhD in Medieval Jewish History from Harvard University, and has served as a visiting professor at Yale, Yeshiva University, New York University and Touro College.
He studied for nine and a half years under Rav Joseph B. Soloveitchik and received his rabbinic ordination from him at Yeshiva University. He is a well known proponent of Modern Orthodoxy, and is a member of the Executive Committee of the Rabbinical Council of America
Dr. Woolf and his family made aliyah in 1993 and live in Efrat.
