TBN Christian missionary television to target Russian immigrants

Arutz 7 and Yad L'achim are reporting that the Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN)- Russian affiliate “Rodnoy” is planning to launch Russian-language Christian programming in Israel.

Knesset members, the Jerusalem municipality, and private sector leaders in Israel have a grand celebration planned for this tragedy.

Jewish Israel has posted a letter from the President of TBN- Russia and "Rodnoy". He writes how, “The time has come…for Jews and gentiles alike, to grow together into one creation through Christ” and that “Its pleasing to consider the fact that the Israelis are waiting for us impatiently.”

Read it and weep.
And after you wipe your tears, continue to read Jewish Israel’s full report below.

Jewish Israel reported extensively on the missionary television channel, Daystar, and their failed mission in Israel, but the Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN) is no less of a problem.

Their website boasts that “TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeal to people in a wide variety of Protestant, Catholic and Messianic Jewish denominations.”

TBN features leading messianic missionaries like "Rabbi" Jonathan Bernis of Jewish Voice Today and Sid Roth of It's Supernatural. And TBN had a field day with the very confused apostate rapper Aviad Cohen.

The very same Pastor John Hagee, who was thrilled at the prospect of Daystar broadcasting the gospel throughout Israel, and who publicly pledged financial support towards that endeavor, is regularly featured on TBN as the powerful preacher who “is devoted to winning the lost to Christ”.

Yad L’achim seemed especially concerned for the young Russian Jewish Children who will get Smile of a Child programming and proselytizing - with plenty of whistles, bells and Jesus.

According to Arutz 7, The inaugural opening of the studios for live broadcasting of TBN in Jerusalem will take place at the Davidson Center, at the footsteps of the Southern Wall of the Har Ha'Bayit (Temple Mount), adjoining the Western Wall Plaza. Some 3,000 Christian pilgrims will be on hand for the occasion. But the details in the letter by TBN-Russia’s president are far more telling and disturbing:

It seems Minister of Tourism Stas Misezhnikov has a special relationship with TBN-Russia’s president Igor Nikitin. Nitkin notes that, “many of our Russian-speaking friends became ministers and influential members of the Knesset. And now I have come to realize all of those events were in preparation for the prophetic breakthrough, which will happen in September.”

This Rosh Hashanah it’s the Russian Christians who will be “on the ancient steps, leading to the Temple Mount, with the sound of the Ram's Horn” where they will “declare a new beginning in the relationship between Israel and the Christian world.”

The foxes are on the Temple Mount, and they’re not just Muslim anymore. Some Jews will laugh, some will cry, and some will take action and protest.

Protest actions are certainly called for in this case. Jewish Israel was established in order to raise public awareness, and to network with the various counter-missionary organizations and activists in order to come up with viable, creative Jewish solutions.

We will be holding meetings with community leaders, rabbis, and activists over this latest development. And we will try and reach Jerusalem Municipal officials and Knesset members. Obviously burning garbage bins and wreaking havoc in Jerusalem is not the kind of protest actions we have in mind. But public demonstrations may be called for.

Send in your suggestions to info@jewishisrael.com or JI members can comment in blog talkbacks.
