Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, in Jerusalem, Promoting 2009 Christian Day of Prayer for Peace

This is a complete excerpt of Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Chief Rabbi of Efrat, taken from a 10 minute video promoting the Christian 2009 day of Prayer for Peace. The video was published on YouTube in late August, 2009.

The audience Rabbi Riskin is addressing is mostly Christian. In the video, Rabbi Riskin essentially claims that G-d's Brit Bein He'Betarim (Covenant Between the Parts) between G-d and Abraham had the Christians in mind from the outset.

The video was produced by the messianic Crossover Project. It features both Robert Stearns and Jack Hayford.

Mo'adim V'Simcha,
These statements and interpretations by Rav Riskin are bothering me. On the other hand I still want to see him as a legitimate Rav, educator and leader in Israel who belongs to the dati-leumi camp.

Maybe someone can approach Rav Riskin and ask him to explain himself to JewishIsrael and answer the statements that he has made on different forums, and are bothering a lot of us.

BTW "The Crossover Project" give themselves away with the following statement:
We seek to establish solid relations between the Jewish people and the Body of Christ and to bring about reconciliation between the two groups who share a belief in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
For example, how does Rav Riskin answer this?
